Whats the story with this storm? How bad is it really going to be? Im from the west and so when a big snow storm rolls in, we cheer and get our best "sick" voices ready for work...but my wife is flying out to JFK this evening and will be there through Tuesday and I wanted to see how bad it was all really going to be, seeing as how its a different culture, infrastructure and snow type. How likely is her flight to get screwed, will she be able to get around at all? and so on. Something I can send to her to let her know she isn't flying into a horrible Jake gyllenhaal movie.

Forecast is 1-2 inches of snow...so basically nothing to worry about

Yeah, I saw that and...given that I usual have 2-3 feet of snow on my lawn all winter...I was like "so, what of it" but apparently its a different kind of deal out east, and we've never been there in the winter. I thought I would ask.

Well seeing as how I still had to go into work yesterday with 6" of snow already on the ground, I'm sure she'll be fine since the streets are pretty clear now

1-2" is usually enough to shut down NYC. Unless things have changed in the last few years.

She'll be happy to hear that.
